Alexa Rose Giddens is a Vancouver / Los Angeles based artist whose work explores the intersection of texture, form, and emotion. Specializing in acrylic, abstract, textured, sculptural, and mixed media art, they create pieces that evoke a sense of movement, depth, and organic beauty. Art has been a lifelong passion, shaping their journey from childhood creativity to a career in the film industry’s art department. While their experience in film influences their artistic approach, they intentionally keep their personal work distinct, allowing it to evolve freely.

 

Inspired by themes of nature, femininity, and transformation, their art often incorporates elements of earth, geometry, and fluid compositions that symbolize beginnings, birth, and the essence of flow while using both earth tones and bold colors. Always experimenting with new techniques, they push the boundaries of texture, shape and form to create immersive, tactile experiences.

 

In April, they will debut their work at Art Vancouver, marking their first official exhibition. Showcasing seven unique collections—each with its own distinct identity—their display will reflect a carefully curated balance of simplicity and depth, allowing the art to speak for itself.
